Hello all!
I've been meaning to create myself some sandbox space for a while. It's nice to have an area to write longer pieces and have some freedom of layout that Facebook and Instagram don't allow. I used to keep a blog out on Blogger, but even that is a bit limiting, plus it's nice to have a fresh start. I haven't updated that since 2011 (yikes!). I'm guessing this will be a place for a lot of astrophotography experiments, probably some nature photography and timelapse video projects and maybe some software development stuff.
Why Joomla?
Well, mainly because that's what our Curling club (http://frogtowncurlingclub.org/) uses. I figure I need a CMS, and any investment in learning one may as well do double duty. I may end up regretting that decision after mucking about with templates and just go back to hand coding HTML/JS/CSS, but we'll see.
Speaking of which . . .
